Ken Adey

Kenneth Adey (FISC ) – ASA Level 3 Coach

Ken’s swimming career started when he was 8 years old, when he swam for Acton Swimming Club.  He was club captain by the age of 16 and has competed in both the European and the World Masters twice. He has completed many swimathons.

His teaching and coaching career started over 30 years ago, and having taught a range of different people in and around many different places including Ealing, Hounslow, Acton and Fulham Ken has a vast range of experience. Ken became head coach of Acton SC and eventually moved to Hillingdon SC, where he stayed for 8 years and at the same time went on to form Chiswick and Brentford Swimming Academy.

Since then Ken has formed Sharks Swimming Academy, with Adam Shears, which offers a comprehensive swim programme, along with Chiswick Sharks, a quality pre-club junior academy and a new Swimfit and Master sections swimming 4 times per week in 3 different locations.

Adam Shears

Adam Shears – Welfare officer – ASA Level 2 

Adam joined Acton SC and the age of 6, where he first met Ken 27 years ago. He competed for Acton SC and went on to become club Captain for a number of years, including their centenary year.

He went on to become Middlesex breaststroke champion and compete for London Borough of Ealing in the London borough championships, where they went on to win.

Adam has taught in lots of pools and taught many different groups of people from babies to adults.

He has since formed Sharks Swimming Academy with Ken Adey, where a quality and fun swimming experience is delivered.

Kyesha Wharton Adey

Kyesha Wharton–Adey – Head Teacher- ASA Level 2 Teacher and RLSS Lifeguard

Kyesha started her swimming career in Acton SC; where she learnt to swim and went on to compete for them for a number of years before moving to Hillingdon SC where she competed for 9 years as well as assisting the coaching team throughout her stay.

Kyesha passed her ASA Level 1 at the age of 16 and went on to pass her Level 2 at the age of 17. Kyesha now teaches throughout Hillingdon and coaches for the Sharks Swimming Academy.

Continuing her CPD, Kyesha has attended courses in the new Olympic pool and experienced teaching and coaching many different groups of people.

Kyesha now continues to swim in Chiswick Masters.
